Dinerware restaurateurs can now offer customers the power to view and pay tabs with their smartphone

SEATTLE, WA — Dinerware, Inc., a leading developer of restaurant POS (point of sale) software, announced its certification of Tabbedout, a secure mobile payment solution that allows patrons to open, view and pay their tabs, for free, with a an iPhone or Android smartphone.

The certification allows Dinerware to expand its best-in-class POS platform and provides merchants with a mobile payment solution available through Dinerware version 3.0+ via the XML-based Application Programming Interface (API) supported in the Dinerware Virtual Client.

Tabbedout provides Dinerware merchants a way to improve staff efficiencies, eliminate credit card handling issues and enhance overall customer experience. With Tabbedout, the consumer shows their server a code from the Tabbedout mobile application to start a tab without the need for a physical credit card. The guest enjoys an added sense of security since their physical credit card stays with them at all times and their credit card information is encrypted securely on their mobile phone, within the Tabbedout application.
