Multi Unit / IT Staff

Dinerware makes your job easier

Dinerware was designed to put control in the hands of the user.  While legacy systems make restaurants and IT staff beholden to expensive support and proprietary hardware, Dinerware supports open hardware and software platforms that allow you to leverage your own IT resources for deployment, support, and maintenance.

With Dinerware, your IT department can deliver additional value to your business through smooth and easy reporting and data integration.  Built on Microsoft® SQL Server, we make it possible to integrate with off-the-shelf or custom solutions, providing many options for enterprise-level data migration and reporting.

Our easy user interface, robust communication layer, and simple deployment make it practical for you to use your own IT resources to manage your Dinerware systems along with the rest of your corporate computing and communication solutions.

Dinerware offers many advantages to large-scale operations:

Superb ease-of-use

Reduce training time for staff and managers! Dinerware's intuitive user interface is designed to maximize staff productivity and reduce support costs.

Live System™ Technology

Dinerware lets you make system changes on-the-fly, from any terminal or remotely, with no system down time. No complicated “back of house” application means that managers spend more time with customers and less time with the POS.

Lightweight Workstation

Configuration consists only of setting up local devices. Our stateless, anonymous design allows for workstation hardware to be easily replaced or swapped. Localized problems with network or hardware at a workstation cannot affect overall system integrity.

Native Network

Core TCP communications mean new workstations auto-configure, and there is no dependence on Windows file or print sharing. Dinerware runs on standard Windows® platforms, without expensive server or thin-client operating systems.

Enterprise-Ready

Dinerware offers a variety of enterprise reporting and data “push” solutions and strategies to fit your requirements and budget. Dinerware consulting services are available to help you select and customize appropriate technology.

Secure, standards-based data storage

Our next generation system uses an SQL Server to minimize the amount of data that is stored and maintained on POS workstations. Many current applications store data on each POS workstation in case the primary database fails. This multiplies the overhead required to manage and secure the data at each workstation. Dinerware leverages the power and reliability of SQL to provide fast, reliable, and secure data storage that can be managed by your IT department. The same SQL server installation can provide data storage for multiple applications such as POS, accounting, office applications, and web presence.

Open Architecture

Dinerware's deployment, customization, and data integration are flexible and open. Open architecture means that your IT staff can take full control of the POS system. Instead of guarding information to protect our revenue, we welcome integration with other systems and facilitate the process with open programming APIs, convenient access mechanisms like Web Services, and understandable data models.  Dinerware has more flexible options for your enterprise level needs.
